Make sure you have a first aid kit and plenty of bug spray. It is tempting to think that you do not need to use your mosquito repellent because you are going to be in the water, but they can still get you in your tent.
There are some plants that work well to deter them from eating you. Make sure to check the areas surrounding your sleeping quarters to make sure there aren’t any plants you’ll need to avoid.
On a hot day, you want to protect yourself from the sun. Don’t forget your sunscreen so that you don’t get burned.
The bugs can also be a problem. Most will go away if you light a fire, but they will come back later. Make sure you have a mosquito repellent that will leave you covered all night and the next day.
Even if you aren’t in an area where you have to worry about poisonous snakes, these creatures can also be found on the beach. You don’t want to have them in your sleeping area thinking it is the perfect place to hide.
